Easter Seals Annual Holiday Party - Volunteers Needed

Easter Seals Annual Children’s Holiday Party -
Please join us! Tuesday, December 18th, 2018

Location: Easter Seals Gilchrist Marchman Child Development Center (Fosco Park Community Center) 1312 S. Racine (2 blocks south of Roosevelt on Racine) Parking - on site, easy and free Overview: For the past 10 years Rotary/One has helped Easter Seals celebrate the holidays with a party that includes Santa (Walter Stawicki) and his trusty assistant, Mrs. Claus (Jody Stawicki) and the wonderful photography of Larry Englehart.

Volunteers assist Santa and also circulate to classrooms and read to children while they wait for their turn with Santa. We sponsor a gift book for each child and some light appetizers for kids and parents, who are there for a short holiday music program.

Schedule:
3:30 p.m. - Volunteers arrive. Easter Seals kids and parents will be gathering for the holiday music program.
4:00 p.m. - Santa Claus makes his entrance at the end of the holiday program. Kids go crazy!
4:30 p.m. - Santa takes his special chair and receives one classroom at a time for gifts and photos. Volunteers circulate to classrooms to read to children.
5:30 p.m. - Wrap up (if not somewhat earlier)

Thanks to Santa, Mrs. Claus, Larry & additional volunteers for bringing some fun and joy to the kids and their parents at Easter Seals’ Gilchrist Marchman Center.
